I'VE SEEN THINGS YOU PEOPLE WOULDN'T BELIEVE

The movie Blade Runner shaped my visual and audio senses along with challenging my philosophical understanding of the world. I was only 15 when it came out.

"Quite an experience to live in fear isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched sea beams glitter in the dark off the Tanhauser Gate. All of those moments will be lost in time....like....tears...in rain. Time to die."

THE ALLEGORY OF THE CAVE

Imagine there are prisoners in a cave. They are starring at the cave wall and unable to turn their heads. Projected on the wall are shadows. The prisoners are unaware that behind them is a great fire and in front of the fire are puppeteers casting the images they see. What would the prisoners think if they turned their heads?
